No this isn’t a bar joke. It’s not even a remake of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
A doctor shared this true story without revealing any identifying details or private information.
A family was scheduled to gather at the parents’ home for an annual celebration. All three family members had recovered from COVID-19. The parents were even vaccinated. However, when the adult child revealed he/she had not been vaccinated, the parents refused to let the child into their home, afraid of getting some mutant COVID-19 strain. The adult child wanting to spend time with the family sought a doctor’s advice.
- A COVID-19 recovered person who was symptomatic has natural immunity which many doctors believe is better than the C19 vaccines.
- If you want proof that you are immune, you can pay for a T-Test from T-Detect. You can also test antibodies.
- If you had symptomatic COVID-19, you should discuss with your doctor whether you should get the shot. Some studies have shown a C19 recovered patient is three to four times more likely to experience adverse reactions to the shot than a person who has never had the virus.
- And then there is the fact that the parents received the vaccinations to protect them from COVID-19. Although, admittedly, there have been cases of people getting COVID-19 after being fully vaccinated. Definitely something to discuss with your physician.
We’ve got to find a way for families to reunite. Some have been meeting all along, others are starting to visit and there are some who aren’t comfortable visiting. Let’s embrace love!
